LCL Tariff Simplification
Effective February 1, 2021, DGX will be simplifying our Export LCL rate structure. Where applicable, the below fuel-related surcharges will be rolled into the Ocean Freight rate and will no longer be listed as separate charges
· Bunker Charges (BAF)
· Emergency Fuel Charges (EFAF)
· Low Sulphur Charge (LSF)
As a result of increases to ocean freight rates from our Ocean Carriers, DGX is implementing a GRI to recover these costs as detailed below:
All US Origins
Fremantle, AU and destinations via this port
$4.00 W/M - $4.00 min
Any mitigation and/or delays of the increase will be passed along as applicable.
Los Angeles/Long Beach Port congestion
The congestion reported last month continues in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The congestion is causing delays for vessels as they wait for space at the dock, delays for truckers as the turn times at the terminals increase, and equipment detention and chassis rental charges as appointments at the terminals become more difficult to obtain without delays.
There have also been reports of shortages of equipment, chassis, and available truckers at Southern California inland rail ramps. These shortages are causing similar delays and additional charges similar to those we are experiencing in Southern California ports.
DGX is working diligently to minimize additional detention and chassis charges caused by the port situation. We work to keep our customers regularly updated on their shipment’s status and any additional charges caused by delays due to congestion.
COVID 19 As It Affects Our Business
We would like to offer ongoing updates on the fluid Covid-19 impact on logistics:
· All DGX Offices are operational and working regular business hours
· All DGX Staff that are able to perform their duties from home are telecommuting
· All CFS/Gateways are open and working regular hours
· All ports and terminals are open
