This is the first of our Monthly News Updates where we tell you any news items in the trade and our DHX-Dependable Hawaiian Express service offerings. Shipping to and from Alaska has never been so convenient. For all of your shipping needs, we now offer seamless shipping and logistics services that connect the lower 48 states with Alaska and Hawaii. Businesses large and small can benefit from the unique package of services we offer to support your shipping needs:

  • Dock-to-Dock or Door-to-Door services throughout the entire U.S.
  • Twice weekly consolidations of Full Container Load (FCL) or Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments to and from Alaska
    ○ Cutoff times Wednesday at 2 pm and Friday at 2 pm
  • Dry and temperature-controlled shipping options

Tracking Online is Easy:

Did you know you can track your Alaska shipments online? Our website allows you to track your shipments with just a few clicks at https://www.dhx.com/quicktrack.aspx. The website allows for a quick search by entering your FB (Freight Bill Number) and any PO’s and search. This works great for looking up one shipment at a time. The second option is more advanced and requires login credentials but allows you to track all your shipments. If you are interested in signing up for this service, reach out to your local representative or call our office for assistance.


Fuel Surcharge:

Due to the continued substantial increase in fuel prices, fuel-related surcharges will increase by one and a half percentage points, effective for sailings on or after Sunday, July 11, 2021. The fuel surcharge for Alaska service will be increased from 26.5% to 28%.

We will continue to monitor the fuel surcharges and adjust our fuel surcharges to you accordingly.

Alaska and Kent operations will be closed on July 5th in observance of Independence Day. We truly value your business and look forward to the future with you and your team!
