General Rate Increase – Southern California LCL & FCL Trucking Rates
We value the relationship and continuously strive for constant improvement in the quality of service that you have come to expect from DGX. In the past few years, the Dependable Enterprise has absorbed the inflationary costs of doing business including rising wages, insurance rates, equipment and other operational expenses.
Effective April 15, 2021 DGX will be implementing a 6% general rate increase on LCL and FCL trucking rates in the Southern California area. This will help offset some of the impact of the increased expenses across the transportation industry, which has a particular negative impact in California. We will continue to focus on cost control without compromising our standards.
General Rate Increase - LCL
As a result of increases to operational costs, DGX is announcing a General Rate Increase to our LCL rates effective May 1, 2021

Marmorated Stink Bug Season Measures for FCL & Break Bulk Shipments ex USA to Australia & New Zealand
The Marmorated Stink Bug Season, which began September 1, 2020, will end on April 30, 2021.
Los Angeles/Long Beach Port congestion
The congestion reported last month continues in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The congestion is causing delays for vessels as they wait for space at the dock, delays for truckers as the turn times at the terminals increase, and equipment detention and chassis rental charges as appointments at the terminals become more difficult to obtain without delays.
There have also been reports of shortages of equipment, chassis, and available truckers at Southern California inland rail ramps. These shortages are causing similar delays and additional charges similar to those we are experiencing in Southern California ports.
DGX is working diligently to minimize additional detention and chassis charges caused by the port situation. We work to keep our customers regularly updated on their shipment’s status and any additional charges caused by delays due to congestion.
