Dear Valued Customer,
Matson Navigation Company (“Matson”) has announced their container capacity on the Maunalei V145W is constrained from Long Beach to Hawaii. As a result, Guam and Okinawa destined container bookings will not be accepted on the Maunalei V145W departing Long Beach Wednesday, May 27. This is a one-time occurrence of this particular schedule change.
Capacity is available on the Daniel K. Inouye V040W sailing from Long Beach on Saturday, May 23. There is ample capacity in Honolulu for Guam and Okinawa destined containers to relay from the Daniel K. Inouye V040W to the Maunalei V145W for carriage to booked destinations.
Cargo relayed in Honolulu from the Daniel K. Inouye V040W to the Maunalei V145W will have the same arrivals of Tuesday, June 9 in Guam and Saturday, June 13 in Okinawa, as originally scheduled for this voyage.
Our cut off at our Rancho Dominguez, CA dock for hazardous freight destined for Guam will be Thursday, May 21 and for non-hazardous freight Friday, May 22 by noon PST.
The next sailing to Guam and Okinawa will be Wednesday, June 3 which is back to the schedule usually followed.
Young Brothers FPA
We have been informed by Young Brothers, Hawaii’s interisland barge service, that effective today, Thursday, May 7 their current Fuel Price Adjustment will decrease from 3.26% to 1.87%. Accordingly, we will be adjusting the fuel surcharge we pass along on our Interisland service to 1.87%. The next quarterly review of the Fuel Price Adjustment percentage will be in August 2020.
Memorial Day Holiday Port Schedule
Matson’s Hawaii and Guam service port facilities will observe the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25, with hours of operation as follows:
