Dear Valued Customer:

We have been informed by Young Brothers, Hawaii’s interisland barge service, that effective today, February, 7 2020 their current Fuel Price Adjustment will increase from 2.72% to 3.26%. The next quarterly review of the Fuel Price Adjustment percentage will be in May 2020. Accordingly, we will be adjusting the fuel surcharge we pass along on our Interisland service to 3.26%, effective March, 7 2020.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that Young Brothers has filed for a 34% increase in their rates. Depending on the actual increase granted by the Hawaii PUC and the effective date of the increase, we may give 1 days’ notice instead of the 30 day notice we usually give for rate adjustments. (In the past, Young Brothers increases occur the date the Hawaii PUC grants them.)
