Low Sulfur Fuel Surcharge

 

Further to our November 13 announcement, DGX is making the following adjustments to the Asia and Oceania trade lanes:

 

Origin	Destination	Type	Current Surcharge	New Surcharge	Effective Date
All US origins	OCEANIA	IMO2020	$4.00 W/M	$8.00 w/m	1/4/20
All US origins	ASIA	IMO2020	$2.00 W/M	$1.00 w/m	12/13/19

 

 

Any mitigation and/or delays of the increase will be passed along as applicable.

 

 

Matson South Pacific Express (SPX) Rates for 2020

 

In order to offset costs associated with the recent changes to their South Pacific Express Service (SPX) resulting in transit time and service reliability improvements, Matson will increase rates for the SPX service by $275 per southbound TEU and $125 per northbound TEU, effective January 5, 2020. No adjustment will be made to Matson’s terminal handling charge (THC) for 2020.

 

The following surcharges will also apply to SPX freight, effective January 5, 2020:

 

Reefer Surcharge: $200 per container for all refrigerated SPX loads

 

Transshipment Surcharge: $800 per container for all SPX loads to or from Hawaii or Seattle

 

Matson Terminal Delivery: $250 per container for all loads delivered to Matson Terminals in Oakland or Los Angeles (Matson cut-off applies)

 

These rate adjustments are necessary to maintain stable, reliable and convenient service tailored to our South Pacific customers’ needs over the long term. 

 

As always, we will continue to closely monitor cost trends and notify you of changes accordingly, in advance.
