Pier Pass Traffic Mitigation Fee increase August 1, 2019
The previously announced increase to the Pier Pass Fee, for the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach goes into effect on August 1, 2019 as detailed below:
FCL 20’ container: the Pier Pass Fee increases to $37.12
FCL 40’ container: the Pier Pass Fee increases to $69.12
FCL 45’ container: the Pier Pass Fee increases to $69.12
There is no increase to the Pier Pass Fee applied to LCL shipments.

Australia Stink Bug Fumigation Season
The Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR) have announced the seasonal measures for the 2019-2020 Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) Fumigation season which is set to begin on September 1, 2020 and continue through May 31, 2020. Breakbulk, Full Container Load (FCL) containers and Freight of All Kinds (FAK) shipments from high risk countries, including the USA, containing high risk and target risk commodities are required to be fumigated.

The charges for fumigation services for shipments in FAK containers are:
USD $37.50 w/m, Minimum $250.00
USD $10.00 Fumigation Admin Fee

Middle East War Risk
Please note that carriers are announcing extra risk charges for shipments to the Middle East adjacent areas. This is in response to insurance companies excluding war and strike risk from the standard insurance coverage for shipments to this area. The carriers are passing on the additional coverage costs as emergency risk charges.
Our insurance provider has also informed DGX that coverage for war, strikes, riots and civil commotions are now excluded from our regular insurance policies. Additional coverage for war, strikes, riots and civil commotions is available to be quoted at the time of booking as the rates for this coverage are updated on a daily basis. Please contact your local DGX office if you require an insurance quote or have any questions.

New Honolulu Warehouse - Our new warehouse and distribution center in the heart of the industrial district in Honolulu is almost ready to open. Visit our page to view the progress of the building project.
Beard for Buck$ - A campaign to help raise money for charity, that will help the homeless in Hawaii. So far with our participating partnerships, we have earmarked over $35,000 for the homeless in Honolulu, with less than a month until the completion of our new warehouse. Including pledges to be fulfilled, we have now raised over $50,000 for the homeless in Honolulu. You can see monthly updates regarding the current length of the beard.
