Dear Valued Customer.

Keeping in line with President Trump’s tweets from last week, the US Trade Representative (USTR) released today a proposed List 4 to Section 301 tariffs. If finalized, this list will seek to charge tariffs of up to 25% on almost all of the remaining Chinese origin products that are not on Lists 1, 2, or 3. The proposed list represents a value of approximately $300 billion in Chinese origin imports and includes toys, apparel, home goods, shoes, electronics, sporting goods, chemicals, and child safety seats.

Certain Chinese origin products, such as certain pharmaceutical, medical products, rare earth metals and minerals are still excluded from the Section 301 duties.

As with the management of the previous lists, the USTR will hold hearings and receive public comments on List 4. The deadlines are:

6/10/2019: Deadline to file request to appear at hearing and summary of expected testimony
6/17/2019: Deadline for comments
6/17/2019: Hearing at USTR
