Breaking Alert

9/10/2018

Dear Valued Customer:

Hawaii

The USCG (United States Coast Guard) has issued a closure of the Honolulu port due to Hurricane Olivia, effective today September 10, 2018 at 6:00 PM. As of this writing we are still waiting for updates for Kahului and Kona. Since the impact of the hurricane is unknown at this time, we are not able to guarantee our normal Inter-Island sailings to Maui, Kona and Kauai this Thursday, September 13, 2018.  Based on the storm’s projected timeline Honolulu will be closed and staff on call for Wednesday, September 12, 2018.  At this point we do not know the current Outer Islands schedules.

As the path of Hurricane Olivia develops its movement over the Hawaiian Islands, we will send more updates for service issues impacting our Inter-Island Ocean and Air service, as well as our Ocean and Air forwarding services to each Island from all origins.

Guam

The National Weather Service typhoon warning for Guam is still in effect. The storm has brought heavy amounts of rain, bringing flash floods and road closures.  There have also been widespread power outages, which will not be restored until conditions improve.

The Government of Guam, including the port, have shut down Tuesday morning September 11, 2018. Our Guam terminal is currently closed. The Guam office will be assessing Guam’s infrastructure and our terminals condition and determine when we will be able to reopen.

The vessel that was due into port today, will be delayed, and is estimated to arrive Thursday September, 13, 2018. This could change due to weather conditions as updated by the Port Authorities.

It appears that because of the storm there will be no deliveries made the rest of this week on Guam.

We wish all of our customers, friends and families in Hawaii and Guam the very best of outcomes.  Please be safe!

Thank you for your understanding with respect to the above.  We will take all steps possible to minimize delays.

Thank you for your business-we appreciate it!
