Dear Valued Customer:Hawaii Terminal Updates:
The following is an update regarding the current impact of Hurricane Lane.
Hurricane Lane is currently tracking as a Category 4 hurricane. There are numerous watches and warnings, which can be tracked on the National Weather Service website.
- Honolulu- The terminal will close and shut down operations at 12:00PM (HST), Thursday, August 23, 2018, and will be closed Friday, August 24, 2018. We will re-open once the “all clear” has been posted by Port authorities and City/State agencies. We will be setting up a crew for Sunday, if manpower is available, to work the pending Mahimahi 403 sailing.
- Hilo/Kona- Both Hilo and Kona terminals, will be closed Thursday, August 23, 2018. The current plan is to re-open on Friday, August 24, 2018, pending weather conditions.
- Kauai- The terminal will be closing at 11:00am (HST), Thursday, August 23, 2018 and all day Friday, August 24, 2018. This is subject to change once the hurricane approaches, and the extent of any damage is known.
- Maui- The terminal will be closing at 10:00am (HST), Thursday, August 23, 2018 and all day Friday, August 24, 2018. Normal operations will resume on Monday, August 27, 2018. At present our office has a skeleton crew working to secure our building and equipment in preparation for the storm. Currently all ports are closed and will re-open once the “all clear” has been posted by Port authorities and City/State agencies.
As the path of Hurricane Lane develops its movement over the Hawaiian Islands, we will send more updates for service issues impacting our Inter-Island Ocean and Air service, as well as our Ocean and Air forwarding services to each Island from all origins.
