Dear Valued DGX Customer,
The West Coast MTO Agreement (WCMTOA) announced an increase of 2.3 percent in the Traffic Mitigation Fee (TMF) at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, scheduled to take effect on August 1, 2017.
The TMF will increase from $69.17 to $72.09 per TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) or $138.34 to $144.18 per forty-foot container. The increase will sustain continued operation of PierPass OffPeak gates amid labor costs increases.
As a result, we will increase the TMF by like amounts effective with sailings on or after August 1, 2017. The LCL rate per cubic meter will remain the same, no increase, at $4.00 per cubic meter.
Pier Pass is a non-for-profit company created by Marine Terminal Operators at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach to address multi-terminal issues such as congestion, air quality and security.
