Rate Changes

 

The following rate changes will apply accordingly:

 

Oahu Delivery Increase

 

The Western Motor Tariff Bureau recently announced a 10% increase that was filed with the Hawaiian Public Utilities Commission with an effective date of November 26, 2015, due to an increase in general operational costs.

 

In order to continue providing service levels that our Customers have become accustomed to, our rising costs in Oahu labor and operating costs are causing us to announce a 5% increase in our trucking related rates, effective with deliveries on or after January 1, 2016.

 

Fuel Surcharge Hawaii/Guam

 

Due to the recent moderation in fuel prices, Matson Navigation lowered its fuel surcharge by two percentage points for its Hawaii, Guam/CNMI and Micronesia services. The fuel surcharge for Hawaii was reduced from 22.5% to 20.5%, for Guam/CNMI from 23% to 21%, effective Sunday, October 4, 2015.

 

As a result, our fuel surcharges were adjusted downward by like amounts, effective with sailings on or after October 4, 2015.

We will continue to monitor and adjust the fuel surcharges accordingly.
