Job Title: Customer Service Call Center Agent & Reception

 

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour


Compensation Package:
 Bonus opportunities

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Work Location: Rancho Dominguez - In person

Starting Pay: Commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt position

Schedule: Monday to Friday


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of transportation
  • 3+ years of customer service
  • Proven customer support experience
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Agent to join our team! In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring prompt, friendly, and accurate support. You’ll also provide backup assistance to our front desk as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries and rate quote requests
  • Resolve all customer concerns (e.g., billing questions, POD requests, shipment tracing).
  • Accurately enter shipment bookings as requested by customers.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and offices to ensure special instructions are followed.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating to the appropriate team if needed.
  • Coordinate shipment pickups with designated carriers.
  • Provide front desk support, including greeting and assisting visitors.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • A proactive team player with a customer-first mindset
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Comfortable with computers and internal systems (Google, Smartsheet, FreshDesk)
