- B.S. or B.A. in business administration, sales, or marketing (or three years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry)
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or in other sales/customer service role
- Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles a plus
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Oahu Sales Manager, responsible for retaining and growing existing revenue streams
- Develop a pipeline of new sales and tactical opportunities with assigned accounts
- Collaborate with the Sales and Operations team to develop robust account plans and ensure accounts are supported
- Manage relationships and partnerships with existing customers to achieve sales targets
- Assist with contract negotiation and ongoing contract management
- Develop and execute a strategy for each customer to maximize revenue.
- Customer visitations as per the servicing plan
- Participate in gap reviews involving relevant customers
- Ongoing monitoring of market trends, customer performance, revenue contribution, and growth
- Keep the DHX management team informed of communications with customers and industry developments
- Effectively represent DHX internally and externally including participation at relevant industry functions and conferences
- Build a culture of high performance within the sales team including sharing and developing best practices and effectively contributing to building knowledge within the team
- Other duties as assigned or directed
