Warehousing and Storage
With the opening our Honolulu facility, we have storage capabilities now in Honolulu, Maui, Kona and Guam. To ensure ease of working with us, we’ve purchased new software that allows our customers to monitor inventory levels, ship an order with same day/next day delivery, or to use our facilities as “back of the store”. This allows you to potentially increase your retail selling space and have your inventory and supplies arrive as you need them. We're Proud of our Sustainability Record!
DHX-Dependable Hawaiian Express recently completed a carbon audit of their four owned warehouses and, based on our audit results, purchased carbon offsets in sufficient quantity to operate our facilities carbon neutral for 2019. (This excludes our new Honolulu Warehouse, which opened September 1, 2019 and will be solar-powered by the end of 2019.) We're proud of our record in leading Hawaiian freight companies in sustainably solutions at our facilities. We've done some great things, including:
- Solar panels (three locations are solar sufficient)
- Skylights at all facilities
- Charging stations for electric vehicles
- Converting to LED lighting
- Training drivers on sustainability and MPG management
- Paper recycling
- Pallet and plastic recycling at our Southern California facility
- Being a SmartWay Partner since 2012
- Compliant with California Air Resources Board’s “sparklist” requirements

New Honolulu Warehouse - We’ve built a new warehouse and distribution center in the heart of the industrial district in Honolulu. We are now occupying our new facility at 432 Pacific Street. We are both happy and excited!
Beard for Buck$ - A campaign to help raise money for charity that will help the homeless in Hawaii. So far our efforts to support the selected charities have resulted in over $50,000 in contributions!
