We're Proud of our Sustainability Record!

DHX-Dependable Hawaiian Express recently completed a carbon audit of their four owned warehouses and, based on our audit results, purchased carbon offsets in sufficient quantity to operate our facilities carbon neutral for 2019. This excludes our new Honolulu Warehouse, which opens September 1, 2019 and will be solar-powered by the end of 2019. We're proud of our record in leading Hawaiian freight companies in sustainably solutions at our facilities. We've done some great things, including:

  • Solar panels (three locations are solar sufficient)
  • Skylights at all facilities
  • Charging stations for electric vehicles
  • Converting to LED lighting
  • Training drivers on sustainability and MPG management
  • Paper recycling
  • Pallet and plastic recycling at our Southern California facility
  • Being a SmartWay Partner since 2012
  • Compliant with California Air Resources Board’s “sparklist” requirements

Please visit our website at www.dhx.com and search under Sustainability, or follow the link to the Sustainability page of our website https://www.dhx.com/green.aspx for further information.

DHX Blog – Shipping Insights

We encourage you to visit our blog at www.dhx.com to see our latest updates, progress, helpful hints, and shipping insights. Once there you can access links to our Facebook pages, with some of more noteworthy items being:

New Honolulu Warehouse - We’ve built a new warehouse and distribution center in the heart of the industrial district in Honolulu. We currently plan to be moving into our building by the end of August.

Beard for Buck$ - A campaign to help raise money for charity, that will help the homeless in Hawaii. So far with our participating partnerships, with the pledges we’ve received, our and our partners’ total contributions to the selected charities will exceed $50,000!

The 2 charities listed below, will be receiving 100% of all donations:

We hope that you join us in this fun, yet charitable cause. #beardforbucks#honolulu#hawaii

Just so you know, for a single donation of $10,000, Brad Dechter, the President of DHX-Dependable Hawaiian Express, and DGX (Dependable Global Express) dyed his beard purple, one of the official colors of Dependable Supply Chain Services, for a month! There is a picture of Brad and his purple beard on each of our social media channels.

THIS IS THE LAST MONTH! If you are thinking of donating to a worthy cause, this is it! We appreciate any donation you can make to help the homeless in Honolulu. Just click on the link above to the charity of your choice and be sure to tie your contribution in to the Beard for Buck$ campaign!

Should you have additional questions, please contact your local office, or our Corporate Customer Service center at 800-488-4888, Ext. 2020, or email us at custserv@dhx.com.
