In
a continuing effort to fund a long-term harbor improvement program, Hawaii's
Department of Transportation Harbors Division has announced a wharfage increase
effective July 1, 2016. Matson Navigation
Company recently indicated they would pass the increase on to the shipping
community effective with sailings on or after July 24, 2016.
The
increase will be applied by island and equipment size, as is shown below:

Less-than-Container load wharfage we charge will increase by a similar
percentage, amounting to 1 cent ($0.01) per cubic foot.
