Terminal Congestion Fee
Since the announcement of the agreement between
the ILWU and PMA, we have seen productivity improvements in the operations
of the West Coast Ports. As a result, we have reduced the Terminal
Congestion Fee for less-than-container load (LCL) shipments
from $6 w/m to $2 w/m. The full container
load charges will remain the same
at $60 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments, as delays are incurred.
We will continue to monitor the situation at the Ports on your behalf
and update you and our fee structure accordingly.
West Coast Marine Terminal Operator Agreement Traffic Mitigation
Fee
The West Coast Marine Terminal Operator Agreement announced an increase
in the Traffic Mitigation Fee (TMF) at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach,
scheduled to take effect on August 1, 2015.
The TMF will increase from $65.50 to $69.17 per TEU (twenty-foot
equivalent unit) or $133.00 to $138.34 per forty-foot container. The increase will sustain
continued operation of PierPass OffPeak gates amid labor costs increases.
As a result, we will increase the TMF by like amounts effective with
delivery of containers to the Ports or draying of containers from the Ports
on or after August 1, 2015.
