BREAKING ALERT

Dear Valued Customer,

The governor of Baltimore has declared a local State of Emergency after the container ship "Dali,"  chartered by ocean carrier Maersk, struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in the early morning hours. The order calls for measures to protect the people affected by this incident and to address the structural and transportation effects. As of this communication, two people have been rescued, and six individuals are known to be missing. Search and rescue teams are currently looking for more survivors.

Vessel traffic into and out of the port has been suspended indefinitely. Truck operations at the terminal are to continue.

Maersk has notified us that they will be omitting the port of Baltimore until it is deemed safe for passage through the area.

Delays can be expected for all cargo with a final destination of Baltimore as all ocean carriers work on rerouting shipments to nearby ports.

DGX will support our customers who were impacted by this lamentable incident in planning and booking alternative transportation and routes. We will keep you informed as the situation develops.
