Senate Action Averts Nationwide Freight Rail Strike to Begin Dec. 9
On Wednesday, December 1, 2022, the House passed an emergency resolution to implement a tentative agreement reached between the Biden administration and the railroads and labor unions to avert a national freight rail strike. The national freight rail strike was expected to start December 9 and would have been disastrous to the economy.
The emergency resolution legislation is on its way to President Biden’s desk for signature.
